warm welcome awesome breakfast period character perfect cooking
The welcome by the staff was really warm. I enjoyed the awesome breakfast and service. The hotel has retained its period character. The breakfast was first class cooked to perfection.
The hotel had a significant number of stairs. No warning was given of this situation. Relatives with even minor mobility issues would find it unusable.

Breakfast included delicious quality bacon and sausages. Breakfast was cooked to order and it was a real bonus of this place. The plentiful portions were also appreciated by all guests.

The room was clean and large with pretty furniture. The room had nice views. The hotel has an interesting history with a cave aspect. Fascinating curios that the owners have collected are displayed.

I enjoyed the generous size of the room, with comfy chairs. It was pure bliss to have a cuppa while enjoying the view! The staff were helpful and met our request for an early breakfast. The breakfast quality was really good, and the service was friendly.
The restaurant was not in operation. I was informed upon arrival.

Really good Stay!
luxurious bed beautiful bedding
My room was lovely, it had a luxurious bed and beautiful bedding. I was able to get extra tea and coffee from an area in the hallway, very convenient! The staff were lovely and they were knowledgeable about the local area.
I received a kind welcome but the bar was never open! I imagined doing a bit of work in the lounge on my laptop with a beer in the evenings, this was not possible.
